- : something else?

- It was a week or so back, but if I remember correctly it just appeared
- during an 'Execute' call either to dos or Arexx....I'll try it agin and
- see, then get back to you.
-
- While I'm here, tho ;)
-
- ..........using AnimLab, I find a couple of things to arouse my
- curiosity....I had taken some 24 bit IFF's comprising a video sequence
- into IFX and turned them into a Ham8 anim at 320x200....it plays OK as a
- disk anim at about 20fps, but shows as a quarter screen centred on the
- 640x400 display on my 1084. However, when I resize it to the SAME size
- with AL, it runs full screen! Howcum??
-
- Also, since using the Datatypes I can load jpegs directly into AL, I find
- it very handy for compiling anims from VLab Motion video sequences,
- actually easier than IFX.....however, there is of course no save mode in
- AL for Ham6 or 8. Still, it will deal with both Ham formats if presented
- with them...i.e, it will save or resize a Ham anim alright....
-
- So, since I would like to load jpeg sequences (no problem) and save them
- as Ham anims (problem), I wondered if I could use a small Ham anim, say 2
- or 3 frames as a base, then use AL to load and append the jpegs to the
- existing Ham anim?
-
- BTW, I find that I can get Ham anims to just 'smoke' in terms of playback
- speed using the 32I save format...the trick is to slow them down!
- (interim results only, testing ongoing).
